The first interview was a video interview. They asked basic questions about you and the role. After that you had to wait for them to review it and refer you to where they thought you would fit well.

After submitting the online application for the general news division you're offered a Hirevue (standard video interview - three straightforward questions). From there, a one-on-one interview with the recruiter for a particular position. Pretty straightforward and positive process overall.

I applied for the NBC News Internship, and received a one-way video screening offer a week later. It was nerve-wracking talking to the screen, but with enough practice, you should be fine.
