The interview was so relaxed. I had 2 lovely senior members of staff interviewing me. I applied online, I recieved an email with an interview invite 10 days (ish) later, and my interview was not for another 2 and a half weeks. Long wait!
My advice to anybody who has upcoming MLA interviews is READ AND STUDY THE JOB DESCTRIPTION/PERSONAL SPECIFICATION.
They pretty much ONLY asked me questions which I was more than prepared for because I had studied the job description/personal specification, and had answers and examples already lined up.

When I first arrived, everyone was super friendly and nice. I was nervous at first but the atmosphere and people really helped. They were super friendly and the interview was not hard. After the interview I asked for a laboratory tour, which they gave in detail. They told me tomorrow morning I would find out if I got the job by phone call, and got it.

They asked me how I met one of the core values - learn off by heart. I had it written down but they told me I could not bring in notes.
They began with tell us about yourself
Example of how you worked under pressure
Where do you see yourself in 5 years
what skills could you bring into this job
Tell us a time you worked in a team - talk about the skills you demonstrated and why these skills are important in the interview
Competency based questions and NHS values questions. For technical roles know about the process in the department for the role. Also team work based questions for lab staff.
In person interview
for recruitment there was a skills test and then interview which was a mixture of questions related to the job and outside the job. They were very understanding and willing to talk about flexibility
