Apply online and then a Zoom interview with 1+ person(s) per lab
Found this to be a pretty relaxed process though you should reach out first to labs you are interested in since just sending in the online application is not enough in my opinion

Asked about past experience, yourself, interest in the project
Met up with the perspective mentor and had a great conversation! It felt a lot more relaxed than a typical interview. We discussed common interests and it was a good way to know whether we would click well.
