I received an email saying someone had seen my resume online and thought the company would be a good fit. I went for an in person interview with two hr girls who were very nice. I basically talked about my experiences and what I was looking for. They stressed they were looking more for someone compatible with their culture and not so much experienced with solar. I was asked to go on a second interview with the inside sales manager. Once again, I mainly discussed my experiences with my current jobs and how I can be successful at NRG. I also took a basic computer test where I literally had to save a Word document to a folder on the desktop. A few days later, a girl from HR called to offer me the job. I was a little surprised to be offered the job so soon and I asked about salary. I was told the base was 35k and you can make up to 30k more in commission. I asked for a night to think it over since this was a decent base pay decrease. I told the HR girl I would call her the next day and asked if she could send me some info on benefits. The next day I emailed the inside sales manager asking to meet to discuss the commission structure before I accepted. I had been told nothing about how it worked. I got no reply. I sent a follow up email asking again to learn a little more about what I was being offered, as again it was not discussed. I then received an email from the HR girl saying thank you for the application, but they were pursuing other candidates. I find it extremely unprofessional for a company to take back an offer simply because someone wanted to know what the benefits entailed. They obviously wanted someone who would accept their salary no questions asked. They also require weekend hours and 12-8 3 days a week.
