I applied for a Senior Project Manager position online based on the job description and posting as I felt I was a great fit with my experience. I was e-mailed by a recruiter indicating that I would be a better fit for an entry level position at a different location and provided me a link to review the job description. After reviewing the job description which appeared to be more of an entry level position and something similar to what I had done approximately 15 years ago, I e-mailed the recruiter over my resume to explain that I felt I would not be a good fit and that he had downgraded my skills in order to fill a position that was definitely not a good fit for me. He persuaded to go on about how we still should discuss this over the phone as he thought it was worth a phone conversation and that the right fit is negotiable.
