I applied to National Grid in September 2020. Three interviews followed. Two separate phone interviews with recruiter and hiring manager. The last one, in January 2021, was a longer interview day that took 2 1/2 hours long over Zoom. I spoke with two hiring managers at once who were pleasant to talk to. They asked me some questions that I know they were looking for specific answers to. More behavioral and competency questions than technical questions. Our interview was followed by an hour and a half long case study and presentation. The entire interview process took over 4 months to complete and about 1 1/2 months after my final interview. The turnaround time was far too long and left candidates uncertain.

AI interview for the first round that was behavioral but pretty specific and not a fun experience. Think we all prefer speaking to a real person. Decently hard to come up with examples in the moment as they were not prototypical behavioral questions.
