Colloquio
I applied through LinkedIn and received a call back within a day or two. I scheduled my interview for the following week. I came in and met with HR, a CRM, and the President of the company. I was also able to sit down with the in-house counsel as I have a legal background. It wasn't the average interview with canned questions that have nothing to do with the role you would take on - they were pointed and asked specifics about my personality, organization, and what I look for in a job/career/work environment.
I had a follow-up interview about a week later with another CRM that I would be working closely with were I to get the job. And finally, I was asked to do a test that I got the impression was to gauge my ability to pay attention to detail. It took 3-4 hours to complete, but it was kind of fun to pick apart. The woman in HR gave me an extra week or so to complete it because I was going on vacation, so I thought that was nice of her.
She contacted me the next day to let me know she would be in touch in a few days and the next week I was offered the position.

How do I keep myself and my tasks/responsibilities organized?

I had many interviews:
1. Phone interview with external recruiter
2. Phone interview with internal recruiter
3. In person interview with 2 managers (full day taken)
4. In person interview with owner (1/2 day)
5. In person presentation given to the 2 managers and owner (full day taken)
They have pride in calling themselves a "flat organization", when it fact it seems to be the opposite. The owner of the company makes all the decisions, conducts all the performance reviews (even though he does not work with most of the 75 staff he employs), and until recently he was doing all the financial leg-work. Plain and simple, he has a heavy hand in pretty much every decision that is made at the company.
The interview with the owner was awkward. Within 10 minutes he kept looking at his watch like he didn't want to be there (even though he interviewed me for nearly 2 hours!). He was stoic, asked generic questions and was pretty uninteresting.

It wasn't really a question, rather, they asked me to do a 20 page case study which required proofing, editing, and data vetting. It was not difficult but extremely time consuming. I really wanted the job so I spent many hours on this (unfortunately).
