      Pretty classic timeline: - screening from recruiter - one technical phone interview - onsite interviews (Palo Alto) Technical questions were fairly easy and covered different aspects such as API design, SQL, basic algorithmic, previous experiences and system design. No questions were asked regarding time or space complexity. An interview was a coding session using an actual IDE, which was quite refreshing. (some plumbing between a rest controller and a service + some math to compute and return averages from a list of values provided by a service). Another interview was a discussion with a product team member and not really an interview. Interviewers mentioned themselves that they are very picky (and they indeed are!). The bad part was that there was no real feedback after interview, just an email saying that another candidate was preferred and no further information could be obtained. The overall process could have been better organized.

      Thank you for taking the time to share valuable feedback. I can only apologize on behalf of TripActions. We are putting a lot of efforts to share feedback with candidates in a timely manner. The recruiter might have been extremely busy and thought that sending an email would be a way to keep you posted within a short period of time. I am really sorry it did happen this way. We will definitely not deprioritize candidate feedbacks moving forwards!

      The hiring manager seemed very disorganized and asked me about some of my experiences and when I would start to describe them she looked very impatient and would interrupt me and say no that's not what I was asking for I want you to tell about this other project that was on your resume. I felt like I had no dignity on the interview because she just seemed so irritated the whole time that I spoke I knew there was no way I could work under the hiring manager if this was the way that she talks to candidates.

      Unprofessional interview experience. 1) We did not even introduced ourselves. He directly jumped to the coding problem. I don't know why he did that. I even joined 2-3 mins before. 2) He gave me a problem and he struggled a lot to explain the problem statement. I did few cross questioning but he changed the question I don't know why. He said lets do another question. then he gave me another leet code problem statement. I solved it but he was using leetcode tool at his end to verify the answers if all the test cases are passing. he told me that few are failing. I fixed it and he then said out of 212 test cases few are still failing and I got the solution to solve that failing scenario but he said I am not happy with this iterating approach of solving the problem. He was so rude. No one would like to work with this kind of people who disrespect others. He wanted me to solve the problem in the first attempt. i couldn't do that and also my all test cases didn't pass. So I didn't do well in the interview. It is fine if you reject someone but rudeness is not the correct way. Navan should take professional classes for their employees.
