I applied to Nebo and in about ~2 weeks, I received an email from HR about the position and went through a ~30 minute screening conversation and then did another phone call with some PMs there and then was asked to come in for an in-person interview and test. That's when I knew this is probably not the place for me. Nebo markets themselves as a human-first company, which I appreciated, but the environment and energy in the office made it seem more like talk vs reality. I'm not sure if it was an off day, but it was silent - there are no offices (almost 100% open space floor plan) so the fact no one was engaging with their co-workers was odd to me. The office is also a large concrete room with exposed wires and a/c ducts in the roof. There just wasn't much personality or anything really visually appealing/stimulating. During the interview, they asked about my experience and skill set for the position, and when I asked about what tools/software they use, it seemed like an overutilization of tools - nothing seemed to be streamlined at all. It also seems that their clients are more for managing campaigns and results tracking vs actually creating and implementation. So if that is what you're looking for, then Nebo may not be the best place for you. I took a written assessment which wasn't too difficult (basically situational/"what would you do?") And I was pleasantly surprised that I was compensated for my time during the interview, so that was a plus! Overall, I think that Nebo would be a great starting place for those who may not have as much experience (seems like everyone there was recent grads or under 30), as the learning curve there would be very high. If you have some experience or are looking for more of a creative-first agency, then I personally wouldn't recommend applying.

I applied online and was contacted about next steps, which included a phone interview, two video interviews, and a test. I had a great experience in my interviews until I got to the final interview that included one of the co-owners and the president. I’ve had very few instances where I’ve been given the opportunity to meet the owner of a company during an interview process, but when I have, they were typically excited to tell me all the wonderful things about their company and open to answer any questions I had. This was not my experience with Nebo. The president was lovely to chat with and was attentive throughout the interview. The co-owner appeared disinterested and didn’t contribute anything to the conversation. I asked about the company’s goals thinking it would be a great way to better understand the owner’s plans for moving the company forward. The president gave an answer then asked the co-owner if they wanted to add anything and they declined. That was one of many red flags for me. What REALLY turned me off was when the co-owner walked away from the interview while it was taking place and casually returned as if it was no big deal. I was asked to complete the final step in the process, which was a test, but I decided that Nebo wouldn’t be a fit for me and withdrew my interest. Needless to say, I was left disappointed after my last interview.
