Applied for the position on Glassdoor, was contacted for a 30-minute phone screen. That went well and I moved on to a 30-minute Zoom call interview, which also went well. I was then scheduled for two half-day virtual interviews consisting of meeting with various individuals, a business case strategy test, and a Coderpad SQL test, which required me to take two days of PTO since they were scheduled from morning until after lunch. These were scheduled on a Tuesday for that Friday and the following Wednesday. I followed up with a clarifying question on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, noticed the job posting was removed from the website and became concerned after reading other reviews about the company's purported last-minute interview cancellations. I sent another follow up email on my initial question and asking about the removed job posting. I received a call at 5:30pm on Thursday, the night before a morning interview, informing me that they did not have an answer to my question but rather the job posting had been removed because they offered the position to another candidate. I was asked if I would be interested in rescheduling the interview if the offer was declined. Unfortunately, despite a promising first few interviews I must concede that the reviews here are accurate in terms of the lack of professionalism in last-minute cancellations of lengthy interviews. While the highly intensive interview process is unusual, it's perfectly fine except that I burned two PTO days to interview for a role they filled the same week they scheduled interviews with me.
