Submitted application through recruiter. Received an answer and appointment for a phone interview within a week. Two weeks later in-person interview at NY office. The interview itself was very disorganized: The interviewers were late and were not aware that I was scheduled for an interview. The meeting and tone was friendly. The questions were very basic . My questions about the positions were unanswered

I found the whole interview process incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. I understand that the employer has the power in the interview process, but they don't need to abuse that power.
First, we scheduled a phone interview. The interviewer was unable to keep the time because of a meeting. I understand that things happen, but you could bother to give me a heads up. That's what adults do. I sat around for 30 minutes before calling the recruiter and telling him to reschedule. That was strike one. We eventually had the phone interview and they ended up liking me.
Then we scheduled an in-person interview. When I showed up, I sat in the room for about 10 minutes before an HR person showed up. She didn't ask much and then left. I then sat around for about 30 minutes waiting patiently for anyone to come start the interview. I eventually had to email the recruiter who was able to get in contact with the interviewers. I took time off of work for this! And they had forgotten about me! That was strike two. Someone eventually showed up, the interview happened, and they seemed to like me.
Finally the twist: a couple of days after the in-person interview, the recruiter told me that NB was restructuring a little and that the hiring process was on hold. The recruiter later set up a separate phone call with a different interviewer. This latest phone interviewer was unaware that I already had both phone and in-person interviews. She treated it as a first-round interview! Don't you guys talk to each other? That was strike three.
This whole process was a complete waist of my time and the recruiter's time. I took time off work to be treated like dirt. I'm glad to say I found a job somewhere else. My advice to NB? 1) Get a watch. 2) Don't schedule an interview if you have no plans of hiring anyone.
