The worst interview process of my +7 year carrier. Since they don't believe in HR, at the first stage I interviewed by their CTO which was not that technical just an introduction to their business model. Then a very small task which took me less than an hour to complete. Then an interview with one of their co-founders which went really smooth and was really interesting. After that they asked me to have a personal interview at their office.
First i supposed to have a trial day including working on a challenging task or some technical interview but what I experienced was another interview with their CEO and wandering around their codebase with the CTO guy! From what i saw there was a lot of duplicated code, unused files, libraries and logic code smell.
But the funniest thing was that after telling the CTO guy that some codes need refactoring, he directly told me that this is our standard here!
After the interview, they called me and told me that based on "gut feelings" we decide not to continue the process with you!
- Advice to the management:
Your technical dept is HIGH and someday it'll kill your startup. Also devise a better hiring process in order to not waste candidates time and money!
