The interview was the fastest I've been to. I was told I was overqualified for the position and they offered me a ridiculous salary in comparison to my background and education.

They asked me about the salary and it turns out that they pay around 1,300 EGP for primary teachers. So what was unexpected here was more their reaction to my salary expectation more than the question itself.
