I was very excited at first unfortunately the contract included clauses such as that the employee was in the obligation of working overtime if needed by the employer... After communicating my discomfort with this point I received pretty bad treatment from the HR department. Phrases such as " I have more important things to do but I took 30 mins of my time to convince you about joining us", "Newfire doesn't play second fiddle.." to put pressure on me to sign with them when I communicated my need for more time to make a decision. Those red flags and some others at the end of the negotiation process made me take a step back and wonder if that was the way they did things from the beginning I couldn't imagine how the work environment would be.
