I applied for a social media associate position in November through LinkedIn. I never heard back because the manager in charge of new hires wasn’t part of their staff anymore/disappeared. Emailed them in January for a follow-up and the CEO replied immediately. She was interested and brought me in for a one-on-one. This interview was required to be in person, even though later hires were allowed to interview over Skype. Despite a seemingly promising interview, I wasn't hired until late May. I must have followed-up 100 times for an answer. Each response ended the same: "Oh we have something different for you but we will need two weeks to decide." Every two weeks became an additional two months...I accepted the job for monetary reasons but the amount of work I ended up enduring was not worth it in the end.
