Round 1: 90min interview with HR/recruiting dept Round 2: 60min interview with hiring manager Take home task: 2-6hr task Round 3: 60min interview with 2 execs Round 4: 30min interview with 1 exec that couldn't make the 3rd round One week after the 4th round interview I contacted the internal recruiter/HR person as I hadn't heard anything... figured I was being ghosted which sucked as I'd put so much time and effort into the interview process and take home task. The HR person told me I had "great timing" as she was just about to get back to me (sure) and that they'd given the role to someone else. I understand there was someone better for the role and it may have taken a day or two to decide but it's sucky to make people wait a week and then have to chase you to find out what's going on. The company seems great, the people were awesome and the interview process was fine up until the final round, but the lack of contact afterwards and me having to chase them to find out what's going on makes this a negative experience.
