Superday: 3 30 minute interviews. All behavioral based questions. They asked questions about my resume and told me to talk about experiences. They did not ask me any finance related technical questions, but they did ask me some questions about excel. Know what pivot tables are and what v-lookup and x-lookup are

I applied to a job posting called Corporate Infrastructure - Finance Global Middle Office. Two weeks later HR reached out to schedule 1st round. The 1st round was supposed to be in person but they must have changed their minds and did it virtually instead. The interview was two 30 mins round with 1 person each. HR never told me what specific team/group I was interviewing for so I was surprised to learn that I was interviewing for a Trade Support role during the interview. The 1st interviewer was nice. He asked basic behavioral questions and where I saw myself in 5 years. The 2nd guy I talked with was uninterested in getting to know me and fired a bunch of technical questions: do you know vlookup, what is a swap, what is a futures contract, etc. A really odd question he asked was: what would you do if there was a trade reconciliation issue? I said I wasn't sure and I would ask one of my colleagues if I was in the situation. The interviewer seemed unsatisfied with that answer and kept pressing me. I applied for an entry level role out of school and it was a bit surprising to get that since I obviously had no prior experience. He even asked me "do you know what an investment bank is?" and asked me to explain what a bank like Nomura does. And again, HR never told me I was interviewing for a trade support role so I didn't really prepare for questions related to that. After that I also interviewed with the product control team. Same format: 2 30 minutes round. The product control people were nice. Mainly behavioral/situational questions. What would you do if you had 2 projects due at the same time? Nothing out of the ordinary there. They seem to want people who have some technical knowledge. The bank uses Alteryx but it's helpful (but not necessary) to know things like Python or SQL. Overall, a meh experience. The 2nd interviewer I talked to was a little condescending. It felt like they were looking to hire someone with experience rather than a new grad because they don't have a good training program (I saw a new posting for temp employee for the position I interviewed for). HR was a little slow after I responded with my availability. Additionally it felt like they didn't really communicate with my interviewers; not a smooth experience. I took 2 hours to interview with them and they don't even have the courtesy to respond.
