      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto un giorno. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Norstat (Trondheim) nel mese di feb 2020

      Colloquio

I applied for a position as Phone interviewer posted on a Norwegian jobs platform by this company. With over 1 year experience in Marketing for the airport running surveys on behalf of Avinor, 1,5 years experience in customer support roles on the phone for Norwegian marked, I considered myself perfectly qualified to this position which made me apply right away. I sent CV and a Cover letter, which true enough was in English, as I was actively looking for jobs and I used that cover letter to many positions, even those with English language, not necessarily involving Norwegian language. The same day I applied, a few hours later, I received a phone call from Norstat, a Norwegian woman, which from the first 2-3 words I understood that she didnt plan to use more than 3 minutes on discussing with me on the phone. She asked me with an irritated voice if I am aware that the position involves the use of Norwegian language. Of course I know, I answered, while trying to figure out why would she start the conversation with such a question. Then I remembered that the cover letter I sent was in English, and I explained her why. I told her that my previous customer support on the phone positions were entirely carried out in Norwegian before and that I mostly had elder people on the phone, using dialects from all the corners of Norway, and that in fact I am happier with using Norwegian language than English. She replied quickly that it was just a first contact on the phone and if there would be relevant to offer me a job, they will contact me again. She wanted to hang up on me with this, but I reached so far to ask her how many days should I be expecting for a feedback. Barely opening her mouth and obviously annoyed that she has to use so much time on a candidate like me, she said, 3-4 days, in case of a positive answer. If its negative answer, they wont reach back to me. An overall unpleasant experience for me. Think that this person is the front figure of a company running telephone surveys!!!
