Phone screen with recruiter: Very friendly, spoke highly of the firm’s culture, and provided an overview of the financial representative role. Second interview (in person with the Managing Director): Covered the role in greater depth, with a strong emphasis on earning potential and the importance of bringing on new clients to succeed. Third interview (in person): Met with two financial advisors to hear about their experiences, then reconnected with the Managing Director to review a list of people I knew across different categories in order to assess my potential success based on my natural market.

There were four or five interviews, if you count the meeting with my future mentor. There were also a few personality assessments. Lots of paperwork. The finance industry is tightly regulated.
