This was an incredibly disorganised interview process. I was emailed on a Monday asking if I'd be available the next day to complete a task. Despite me responding immediately confirming my availability, I didn't hear anything back and had to follow up on Wednesday. They responded to my follow up and asked if I'd be available that day, and I agreed. I again did not hear back, but received the task via automated email with no warning, and only half an hour to complete it. While the task (imputting data into forms and spreadsheets) wasn't particularly difficult, it was far too much work to complete in the allotted time. It seems to me that no one within the company bothered to check to see if the work they were assigning was possible. Perhaps they didn't want to see the tasks completed, and wanted quality over quantity, but I wouldn't know because no guidance was given on the purpose of the task in the interview process. After sending back my work I was asked if I could attend an interview the next day. Between the slow responses and last minute interview requests, this entire process was immensely rushed and put me off Nosy Crow entirely.

Teams call. Three people from the rights departments attended the interview. I was asked firstly why I wanted to work in Children's book publishing and why this role. Secondly, name my favorite children's book. Thirdly, what will I bring to the team if I am offered the position.
