But then the interviewer shifted to scenario-based questions like “What would you do if there’s an outage and the client is losing money due to your mistake?” The questions felt unrealistic for an SDE-1 role, and despite giving multiple practical answers, he seemed to expect some rote, template responses, and looked very unsatisfied.
