I may have too high of expectation towards Novogradac so the result is not very appealing. The interview was very short with me and spoke fast. Interview was very standard and all questions are behavioral. Did not get moved forward to the second round and based on our conversation I assume it's because I am an out of state CPA, and they need your license under practicing state, which is CA in my case. This experience led me think their hiring process is a paradox. In their job description it says CPA license is preferred not required, but I was told I need to transfer back to CA for them to move forward with me. So being a out of state CPA won't be your edge on this.

First round of a typical phone call with a recruiter, and second round of three zoom meeting interviews with different employees of the company. Some basic behavioral questions were asked, as well a surprise accounting question asked as well.

They were friendly enough. It wasn't too long or too short of an interview. A lot of it was just going through my resume. A couple of technical questions but not a ton of them.
