Colloquio
I applied for the role of Graphic Designer online through the Ocozzio website and first received an email to meet with the Creative Director. The interview was very basic but she made me comfortable and asked some fun design questions like what my favorite font was. I also brought along my design portfolio and we looked over some designs I made during my time with a previous employer. I was then emailed again to come in and meet with the CEO, Russ. He is a tough interview but he means well. During my interview with him, he asked some hard questions and wanted to know what made me so different than all the other people who applied for the job. My best advice for handling an interview with Russ is to show him what you can offer Ocozzio and don't ask what Ocozzio can offer you. He is looking for people who are hard workers and those who can handle criticism without taking it personally since marketing and business can be a cut-throat world.

Domanda 1
Basic interview questions: "How did I learn design?" "What programs am I more comfortable working in?"

Colloquio
It was a 3 stage process: phone interview, one design exercise, and an in-person interview. The interview itself was conversational, and I mainly spoke on my experience through an exchanging anecdotes with the people who interviewed me.

The person who interviewed me was great. She talked through my portfolio and explained how Ocozzio works really well. She took time to make sure I felt comfortable and answered my questions. I didn’t feel rushed at all. She took me on a brief tour of the space which was small but good. When she introduced me to the CEO, this is what through me off. The CEO was mentioning personal details about his life (How we was in a “pissy mood” because his wife was going to home late and he likes her to be home when he is there). He also made the conversation really awkward with blatant stares and then asking me what are the negative things that I have heard about the company?
