Initial contact via Instant-Impact with Aasimah, who was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. Initial 30 minute call with Aasimah to go through the role and the recruitment process. Then online maths and cognitive reasoning tests, these are timed so be sure to practice using the links provided, 55% pass rate. Then an online discovery day with Octopus themselves; a group intro to get things started then split off into groups of three for an ice breaker (does pineapple belong on pizza) and customer service questions, followed by a discovery task (with a diferent group of three); what tech could Octopus develop or which other organisations could Octopus partner with in the future and why. We went with the latter. A group Q&A session with current Octopus employees and finally a 2 on 1 interview to go through why you want to work for Octopus, qualifications/experience relevant to the role etc. Back to full group for wrap up and thanks. 3 hours in total. 2 on 1 follow up call to go through expectations, job details, hours etc. 1 hour. A final short call to clear up some details and confirm outcome. Be aware you really have to want to work for Octopus, they only want keen, enthusiastic, committed people.
