I was interviewed at Odeon Glasgow Quay and it was a terrible experience. Took around 2 hours which is fine and consisted of 2 group activities then a one-on-one interview. For the first group task you had to work together to make a sales pitch for a food or product and for the second you had to make a presentation with your group about “why odeon is not expensive.” If you would like to work for Odeon what you need to do is insult other cinema companies as much as you can!!!!!! Especially Cineworld !!!! They love this!!!! Every group presentation included people insulting other cinema chains and even independent cinemas and the supervisors sat in the seats and cheered them on. Also remember it’s “limitess” not “unlimited” they got mad when people said unlimited cards lol. Overall, I think Odeon would not be a great company to work for. Their competitiveness is shocking! The interview process is also extremely tedious and difficult just for one tiny retail job and some other staff said the pay is not great for the work you are expected to complete. If you are quite a shy person this interview may be quite tricky for you. You will be in groups of 4 or 5 and the supervisors patrol and take notice of those who are confident and taking the most notes. I was not given an offer, and I left the interview quite happy about it, I was insulted to my face from staff since I worked at Cineworld before and overall it was not a great experience due to the judgemental and “we are the only good cinema” attitude.

The interview process felt very relaxed and informal, with plenty of time set aside at the end for questions and discussion. We met in a Costa next to the Odeon, which helped keep the atmosphere comfortable.
