I had three interviews within a single week to accommodate the company’s schedule, which I was happy to do. Following the final round, I received a verbal offer, only to be met with complete radio silence for almost a week. Eventually, I got a generic email saying that the company’s priorities had shifted, and they would no longer be moving forward. While I understand that business priorities can change, the way this was handled was highly unprofessional—especially considering the interview was led by the team lead. My follow-up emails were ignored, and there was zero communication or courtesy update during the wait. This kind of recruitment process reflects poorly on the company and unfortunately reinforces negative stereotypes about hiring practices in the industry. Even a simple “we need more time” email would have sufficed—especially given how easy that is to do with the tools available today. In the end, I’m glad this didn’t progress further. Communication and professionalism during recruitment say a lot about a company’s culture—and this experience was a red flag.

I had 2 interviews and was unfortunately fully ghosted afterwards, despite various follow ups. Over a month later I am assuming I am no longer in consideration. Just a quick email reply to my follow ups would have been appreciated, and not much to ask.
