This was a strange and frustrating interview process:
1) The recruiter shared a different compensation band than what was in the public job description. When I emailed her with the link to the job description and asked about the discrepancy she ignored me. (We had previously communicated over email and this was early in the process.)
2) The recruiter let me know I would do a technical interview and explained more than once that there would be no coding. I assumed high-level technical explanations then. A half an hour before my scheduled 8am meeting, the interviewer let me know that we would be coding and to please have my coding environment set up. I only code on my work laptop and only interview on my personal laptop, so I frantically downloaded a code editor and updated Python and pip, but this is a bit ridiculous of an expectation on short notice and I felt like they were actively trying to sabotage me.
3) There seems to be strange hostility between Auth0 and Okta.
Worth noting the hiring manager was great which was the only reason I agreed to move further in a process with several red flags.
