I was initially questioned by a girl in the mall job fair booth. She was nice and unintimidating, and recommended me to do the "audition" for the job. I scheduled the "audition" and came to it very nervous. I waited for about ten minutes in the store until finally asking a worker if she knew where I could go for an interview. Turns out she was the interviewer. She (who looked around 18) was folding clothes when I approached her and seemed annoyed that I had disturbed her. Eventually she gave me a tour of the store and led me into the back room, where there were at least seven teammates on break or mingling in their, just WATCHING me be interviewed. It was quite disturbing and as someone who suffers from social anxiety, it was indeed terrifying. She asked me the general interview questions and then asked me to show her the thing I brought that represented me. I had brought my writing notebook, because I am passionate about writing. I knew she expected me to bring something related to fashion or people (things that come with the job) but I wasn't about to be fake. She said something along the lines of, "How nice...". She then asked me to return to the salesfloor by myself and pick out a trend I liked, and then come back and try to sell it to her. I picked a woven poncho thing and came back and said something pretty mediocre, but not terrible. I still felt very anxious. It was after this entire ordeal when she decided to tell me that though my sixteenth birthday was three days after the time of the interview, she throws away all applications of people who are underage. My reasoning is that I would be hired on or after my sixteenth, not necessarily when I was fifteen. Once she dismissed me with that very clear rejection, one of the onlooking employees on break laughed as I walked out. I have never experienced such discomfort in an interview and I am dissatisfied with the interviewer's attitude.

They asked me about Old Navy as a brand, remember that they are an established family outfitter. They asked me to put together an outfit for a certain occasion and tested my customer sales ability. Not a difficult process!
