Phone screen with a recruiter, take home exercise, 30 min phone interview with CMO, 30 min phone interview with CCO, then onsite interivew with CMO and SVP. I applied for a remote position, flew out to HQ for an onsite interview. At every step, I was assured that they were very comfortable with a remote person. At the onsite interview I was told that they would be making a decision early the following week. Finally on Thursday after a few emails and calls to them for an update, the recruiter called me back and said that they had decided to not have the position be remote. Less than a week prior I was assured that the remote piece would not be an issue, so I was pretty taken aback that after 4 days of non-responsiveness they finally returned my call only to tell me that they had changed their mind.
