Overall Experience: Negative
The interview process for the 2.5-month role at On-Demand Group left a lot to be desired in terms of transparency, professionalism, and time-efficiency.
Pros:
The role was described as potentially leading to permanent employment.
Cons:
Lack of Transparency: The interview process was not transparent and did not allow for much candidate input or questioning.
High Expectations: The requirements for the position seemed disproportionately high considering the temporary nature of the role.
Unprofessional Behavior: The interviewer's approach was assertive to the point of being unprofessional. It felt more like an attempt to disqualify me rather than an objective evaluation of my skills.
Wage Concerns: When inquiring about the legal wage for the position, the responses seemed to be intentionally vague and misleading.
Questioning Authenticity: Despite answering technical questions promptly, I was unfairly accused of not being genuine in my responses.
Advice to Management:
Consider implementing a more transparent and respectful interview process that truly evaluates candidates based on their skills and potential, rather than seeking to disqualify them based on arbitrary or unfair criteria.
Final Thoughts:
Given my experience, I would exercise caution when considering On-Demand Group for employment opportunities in the IT field. I personally plan to be cautious in future interactions, including recording interviews for my own protection. I cannot recommend On-Demand Group as a reputable company to work for and will be steering clear of similar staffing agencies.
