Had an initial phone interview with a recruiter that was very pleasant. I offer an in-office interview right away. This is where things started to go wrong... It took around 3 weeks to hear back about when the in-office interview would be. A few days before the interview, I was informed by the operations person who would be interviewing me that they are no longer hiring for the role at the time -- but that they will be hiring in a few months. So I followed up multiple times without ever getting a reply. Eventually, I checked linkedin and it appears that they DID hire someone for the role (or one very similar).
Operations is totally dysfunctional in how it operates, with recruiting at least. It's a shame because it seems like an incredible and unique organization offering interesting work.
