There is no sugarcoating, the interview process was the worst experience I have had.
Let me start with my initial contact with the recruiter. It took me 2 days to get a hold of him after returning his voicemail. He explained having issues with their phone system and was unresponsive when I reached out using other means. He could’ve simply emailed instead, but did not bother.
I got through the recruiter screening and an initial meeting with “the team”. It was however stated on my interview details that I was only suppose to meet with the hiring manager of the support team. But on the day of the remote interview, 2 other team members showed up. One was a senior specialist and another support manager. It was great to meet other people, but a prior heads up would have been nice from the recruiter. My time for the interview was allotted for 1 hour and it became a full 2 hr+ interview without notice. Anyone involved in the hiring process simply does not have any respect for people’s time.
The team expected someone who can be a database, programmer, network, and support engineer all in one. I can already tell that they wanted someone who will accept the job for what it is with minimal compensation. It was a sweatshop for customer support. It shows that they will suck the life out of you and the type of management you have working at the company makes it unpleasant to work for and guaranteed to lower the morale of the company if it hasn’t already.

My recent interview experience was both insightful and rewarding. The process began with a preliminary HR screening, followed by a technical round where I was asked scenario-based questions related to the role. The interviewer created a comfortable environment, which helped me articulate my thoughts clearly. I appreciated the emphasis on problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the opportunity to ask questions about the team and company culture. Overall, the interview not only allowed me to showcase my abilities but also gave me a better understanding of the organization and its values.
The first step was the HR Interview. If you pass this step successfully you will be invited to the second step which technical interview. After that, if you pass all steps they will send you an offer.
