Got email from recruiter saying I was shortlisted, I was sent out a questionnaire, then was informed role was hybrid and was required to be in office, asked how far I was from office (45 minutes- I’m in the GTA) and then ghosted me for weeks till I called the recruiter. The recruiter said they are looking into applicants and want an applicant to move closer to their office. I said sure, give me an offer and I’ll move. Back to being ghosted till I emailed a month after and was told they are still discussing internally. Ghosted for another month (I kept seeing the role on LinkedIn again and again), so I raised a formal complaint over their HR email. I get a call in a week, and am told there were restructuring, internal issues, management garbage, and all that yada yada later, tells me the position has been hired for. Well thanks but no thanks for ghosting your candidates for over 3 months.
