      Colloquio per Office Manager

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Opendoor (Dallas, TX) nel mese di giu 2017

      Colloquio

The good parts: -Everyone was super friendly to talk to and asked challenging questions. -After being rejected, the recruiter did set up a call with me to elaborate on why I wasn't chosen. The meh parts: -Most everyone's answer to my question of "What do you like about Opendoor?" was along the lines of "We're all a bunch of smart people." It just felt a bit pretentious. The awful parts: - I had 7 separate interviews with 6 different people on 6 different days. This is a G&A role. I don't mean to downplay the challenges that come along with that role, but it sounds like the hiring manager probably was not trusted with a hiring decision, and thus each additional stakeholder in the process wasn't trusted until the final person had his say. Although I was interviewing remotely, and there was a holiday over the five week process, I felt it definitely could have been streamlined a bit better. -After the first round interview with the recruiter, the next step is to complete a "homework assignment" to give the hiring manager an idea of how you're likely to respond to given situations. This is fine, however, after the third round interview, I was told that an additional challenge would be given because the first homework assignment had not been specific enough.
