Colloquio
HR reached out for a casual discussion and mentioned there will be a tech round, but turned out it was Infrastructure manager, later he scheduled for another round with two guys for a tech round, an Argentinian and Dutch guy zoom call.
Argentinian guy was loud and rude, he was very unprofessional(talking on mobile while interviewing), disconnected zoom call for almost 4 times (kept saying my laptop hung up) leaving the scenario question incomplete. In the end I shared my screen and walked him through process, surprisingly guy had no knowledge on how big data works and he was interviewing for a security role.

Colloquio
The recruiter was quite communicative and helpful. The first part of the process was a screening from recruiter plus some technical questions.
The next phase was an online technical assessment. I was informed I could complete the assessment in a particular coding language. I was also tasked with an additional item to perform an analysis on a file.
When I started the assessment, the coding was not available in the language I wanted to code in. I left this until last. I completed the file analysis in great detail and definitely answered the question correctly and with what was required in the time allocated.
I called the recruiter and let them know that I couldn't select the scripting language of preference, yet I was told I could do it. I mentioned it wasn't available in the assessment and I closed it off. I was told I could send it to her outside of the assessment, so I did that, as best as I could.
A few days later I receieved what seemed like an automated response. I emailed the recruiter requesting feedback. I received the phone call. I was told that I passed the scripting challenge yet the file analysis question I failed because I didn't explain what actions I would take, even though this was not part of the question.
Feedback on this - please ensure that your technical assessments reflect exactly what is required. If your candidates are being told they can code in two languages, both options should be available in the assessment, not just one.
Also - ensure your questions reflect what is actually required for a pass or fail. Asking someone to analyze a file and then failing them because they didn't put down actions following this finding is not a failure. The assessment of the answer for all candidates should revolve around the question. Please note that there is also a time limit in these assessments and candidates will need to complete what questions are asked in the time frame that they have.
