It was an on-campus interview and I was interviewed by two people separately, each session lasting roughly half an hour. The interviewers were gracious and the conversations with them were pretty pleasant. However, they asked several questions in probability theory, which might be too difficult to me. They seemed to care more about creative intuition and rigorous thinking.

Colloquio
Interviewed out of phd program. They try to pair you up with researchers who have similar academic backgrounds, at least in the first few rounds. They seem interested in hearing about your research, but probably wise to stress those aspects that are relevant to quant finance if possible (coding, stats, automation).

First an initial screening with a researcher that went over my CV (my most recent publication). Then another technical round with one open-ended probability modeling question. I did not get to the on-site interview.

First round is a phone interview that lasts 30 minutes or so. After the 1st round, they invited me for an on-site interview. Mostly the usual stuff, asked about my background and experience. Then the rest is technical questions.
