I had applied for a position and my resume had gotten forwarded to another department and the executive of that department called me to interview me. Very nice. After our discussion, the executive said he was going to put me in touch with his HR person (specifically named) and we would move forward. I never heard from this person and because I had the name, I look said person up and could not find this person anywhere. So I contacted another person in HR which was a very odd conversation. I was treated like a recruiter and I have no idea why. My language or contact information in my email does not indicate that at all. After a half dozen emails going back and forth and making the HR person realize I was a candidate and not a recruiter, I was handed me off to another person in HR. I contacted that person and they did not get back to me. A really weird situation. Ghosted after being pursued for a specific position.
