I had to attend 8 hours of interview, first call by manager, followed by 2 medium leet code questions. Then they had 4 more hours of interview with different team members. I was told that I did very well in all of them and they will come back shortly. They never came back after that. Complete waste of time for a programmer, they don't realise that we also have families and 8 hours of interview takes many hours of preparation and stress. In the end, I am glad that I didn't get an offer from such a company.

I was interviewed by three different people, in succession, in different days for a remote role as software engineer The first interview revolved around an introduction to the company and the role I would fill and, about me. The second interview was technical in nature although no technical test was given. The last interview was conducted by the person who had the job and moved to a different role. In general, the interviewers came across as jaded, specially the last one. I asked questions such as, what is the best thing you like from Pimco and the answer was, "the money, other than that if you're a developer you're treated as second class citizen". This person also referred to me twice as a web developer even though I'm a full stack engineer with more than 10 years of experience. The interview allowed me to gauge the level of misery from the interviewers, working at a post-lockdown California based company. At the end I was happy I did not get the offer, I have a feeling folks there are pretty miserable.
