1 round of phone interviews with group, group leader, division head, and other PhDs. 1 day of in person interviews including a presentation on my current or former research, application/ science specific questions to validate knowledge base.

Standard. Couple rounds, 2 interviews. General behavioral questions. No red flags that I can think of. This was internal, so a lot more streamlined than for external hires. Decision was also made within a few days afterwards
