I only realized after the almost hour long interview, that they were already planning on hiring me and the sooner that I filled out all of the paperwork for the background check, the sooner they can hire me on. This, of course was without nailing down a salary, which I blame myself for not finally asking, but really there should’ve been a clear idea of what I would be making. In hindsight, I can see what a good idea that was on their part, since they were offering about 35% lower than the going rate for the industry and my experience.
