This is the process for corporate locations, franchise operations may differ. I responded to a job posting online and was immediately contacted by a recruiter for Panera. I had two interviews, the first was with the district manager for the area. The interview was very informal and the manager was dressed in business casual with no tie or coat. I was asked all the typical questions about experience, what made me want to work for panera, and my style of management. When the interview was over, the DM said that he liked me and would forward my info to the general manager that I would be training with if I was to be hired. After about a week, the GM called me and I had my second interview. GM was dressed same way as the district manager and asked many of the same questions, though our interview lasted about an hour and a half and was much more in depth with him asking me many personal questions and many questions about my last job. When the interview was over I was given a box of pastries to take home and told that I would be contacted in about a week. 5 days later I received calls from the DM and recruiter offering me the job. Overall it was a very pleasant, if not short experience.
Pretty easy process, usually only have two interviews. They typically ask about previous job experiences and how you handle conflict. One with the DM and another with the RM. Both were done virtually but can also be completed in person.

It was professional and casual at the restaurant. Easy to talk with the recruiter. I didn't ultimately choose it at the time but it was pleasant enough. I think they hire from within and I was hoping to start as a GM
A recruiter reached out to me, before telling me what company the posting was specifically for he insisted on “re-working” my resume, but removed my most recent relevant experience and filled it with buzz words. I either from the process after my first phone interview with the recruiter because he was making the process convoluted and difficult.
