I applied online via LinkedIn and got a rejection email three days later. I then got a call from a recruiter who thought I'd be a good fit for the role explaining they were overwhelmed with applicants so they rejected everyone and contracted in a recruiter because the hiring manager took leave and didn't have time to read any of the applications.
Recruiter assured me it would be 2 days per week in the office, so a personality assessment and a credit check later, I was invited to attend for an interview. It was made clear to me before hand that there would not be a visitor parking space for me, so I'd have to pay to park elsewhere.
The hiring manager explained that the staff need to reserve themselves a parking spot and the window opens during my interview, so she plays with her phone to reserve tomorrow's parking space during the interview which I felt was incredibly rude. She later explains that she expects her team to be in the office "at least 3/4/5 days per week" which was very different from what the recruiter said.
...what a waste of time that was.
