The recruiter was late and did not appear to know the role. After weeks of silence, I followed up, then informed they are on holiday. Weeks later, they still never got back (i.e. ghosted).

Easy - general technical questions.
They will give you hints on what the client is likely to want before the client interview. First stage is easy as really it is the client who matters to them. If you pass client interview you get an offer otherwise no offer.
