      Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto più di 3 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Parsons Electric (Fridley, MN) nel mese di gen 2019

      Colloquio

      Started with the initial employment application, which was followed up very quickly by an email from HR to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was probably my least favorite part as when I answered the interviewers questions, there was awkward/lengthy moments of silence as I heard them type my responses. I tried to make small talk instead of waiting for the next question, which may not of helped her but helped make it far less awkward. (I am new to the lengthy phone interview process) After a couple of days I was selected to meet in person and was very impressed with the role, company culture, values, and complex projects. I met with two managers and had a very nice talk about Parsons Electric - Technologies Division and how I could possibly help fill the open position. (45-60 minutes) I was sent to HR right after to discuss the benefit packages they offered and was kind of caught of guard by on the spot negotiation for pay. I told her the range I was looking for and she was interested more in what my bottom dollar would be. I take it my 5-10% jump from my previous employer may not of matched their budget. The one negative thing I would have to say and it also taught me a life lesson on "choosing the right company, not the best offer". When I asked what Parsons Electric company values were and what they looked for and teach in their employees ? HR's answer was "INTEGRITY", they gave an example of how "if you say your going to email someone at 3pm on something important, you better make sure you follow through with your word." All in all I was told by the HR they thought the interview went well and that I would hear from her Friday, or Monday the latest as this interview was on a Thursday. It has been several weeks and no responses from both a thank you and follow up email. "Integrity" may not be something they should use when trying to recruit professional candidates that look for you to follow up on your word. I wish this company nothing but success, but be very upfront and cautious on what it is your looking for from them as well.
