I submitted my resume and was contacted shortly afterwards by their recruiter asking for an pre-screening interview. After 3 days of me leaving phone messages and email, I finally received a reply and we scheduled a time to speak. I called at the scheduled time and again, received voicemail. The recruiter called me back 10-15 minutes later and we began the interview.
The interview was plagued with him asking me to "hold on", so he could chat with people in the office. But that wasn't nearly as surprising as when he announced "I've got a candidate that's calling in from Atlanta, that I've been trying to track down for two weeks, I'll call you back in 1 hour". I never heard from the recruiter again.
The next morning, I sent a follow up email thanking him for the time and made myself available to continue the conversation. I was not given the courtesy of a reply, or a return call. First impressions being important for both candidate and employer, I'm not impressed. If this is how they treat their candidates, I'd hate to see how they treat employees.
