I was given a task to complete in 10 days after which I get to meet the HR for a behavioral interview and then I get to meet with the hiring manager to discuss job description and salary.

The interview process is a multi-stage process for hiring new employees. The interview process typically includes the following steps: writing a job description, posting a job, scheduling interviews, conducting preliminary interviews, conducting in-person interviews, following up with candidates and making a hire.

Things are dirty the deeper you dig…
I was approached via a platform which supposedly connects anonymous job seekers with hiring companies. Payoneer use that platform.
There were several sessions:
1. Phone interview
2. Technical interview
3. HR Behavioral interview + integrity test
4. Manager interview
* Phone interview.
They asked a lot of questions about my past.
* Technical interview.
We talked mostly technical stuff about React-Redux.
* HR interview & computer based integrity test.
Nothing much to say.
Next, they scheduled an interview with one of the managers and asked for my CV.
Prior to that they were using my profile from the job seeking platform.
They also asked for my ID + attached form. I suspect they use it to run background checks.
* I got to the manager interview and that’s when things got really weird.
I was asked why during the technical interview I (allegedly) said some things I never actually said.
I denied the accusations and was very upset by the whole situation.
They said there must have been a misunderstanding.
Instead of the manager interview I was given a written technical interview and a group panel test with 2 developers.
They said they will reschedule the manager interview.
I received a short rejection letter by email without any details.
When I pressed for more information they said it was because they found someone more technically capable. Plausible, but as it turned out - false.
I started digging.
They changed their story and said the rejection was due to my lack of integrity seeing as how I denied their false accusations. On top of that they added more lies about my integrity.
And what about the actual computer based integrity test? There was no reference to it, anywhere.
Almost as if it never existed ... Almost.
I kept digging.
I eventually saw the integrity test results - I passed with excellent results.
The experts gave my integrity a green light and a clear recommendation for the position.
I urge everyone who reads this and who went through their process to go back in time, go back to your interviews. Does something seem odd? Out of place?
Go find your own truth.
