It was with the former manager that was very personable and thorough in the interview process. She (Margaret) was from Portland so she had a laid back and personable demeanor and was just interested in making sure that her associates got along well and were going to be punctual, professional and invest in the company.

Saw a hiring sign on the door and went in and asked for an application. Filled it out and turned it in and got a call two weeks later scheduling an interview. Got to my interview 10 minutes early and was offered a drink while I waited which I politely declined because I was too nervous to be thinking about a drink haha. Store manager came out in 15 minutes and we sat on the bench outside the store and did our interview there. He asked me some general questions like where I went to school and stuff like that before asking the actual interview questions. Overall interview was pretty casual and he was super friendly so I was definitely a lot more comfortable.

Very friendly interview with scenario questions as well as questions about your work history and why you want to work for Peet's. I believe the interview process should not be taken too professionally; show your character and why you would fit in well with the team at Peet's and you will be golden.

The store was busy so my interview wasn't until thirty minutes after specified time. It was straightforward and asked for my customer service experience and knowledge of coffee and tea. Be prepared to work early morning shifts like 4:30am. They also give you a free drink for interviewing.
