I was contacted by an outside recruiting firm for this role which the company had been trying to fill for quite some time. Then I was set up for a virtual video interview was set up with the hiring manager. He asked to do the interview over a 3 day long holiday weekend which I thought was very unprofessional and disrespectful of my personal time. He then rescheduled the interview 2 times before we finally connected. I was dressed professionally in a suit for the interview while he was in a t-shirt and his hair was a mess. His dog was barking constantly during the video interview and he had to stop the interview several times to go take care of the dog. During the interview he asked me if I was married and had kids. This is an illegal question to ask during an interview and also discrimination so obviously he is an inexperienced interviewer. I had a 2nd video/ virtual interview with a lady who was more professional but her kids kept frequently interrupting the interview and she had to stop the interview process several times because of her kids. I decided that this company was extremely unprofessional and not what I was looking for and I told the recruiter to withdraw my application as I was no longer interested in the role. Even after withdrawing my application the hiring manager continued to call my cell phone numerous times and left voicemail messages to the point where it has become harassing and I’ve had to call block his number. I will be reporting this company to the better business bureau. This is extremely unprofessional behavior and they do not know how to conduct themselves as corporate professionals. I have never experienced anything like this in my 20 years of working in a professional environment. Stay away from this company.
