Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Pell Frischmann (Londra, Inghilterra)
Colloquio
The interview was a fairly general interview, but I was asked a few technical questions, which I was unable to answer as a university student. To be honest, I took a portfolio of university work, and they asked me questions about it, but I wasn't able to answer them correctly. Also got given a frame or beam with loads and had to draw a bending moment and shear force diagram, which I believe I drew incorrectly and was visibly struggling with. So yeah, definitely be well prepared with your shear force and bending diagrams, and if you take any portfolio or project examples, be sure to understand them properly.

By applying through a recruitment agency, the process was fairly straightforward and fast. The interview was fairly relaxed and the person interviewing me genuinely seemed interested in what was written in my CV and my past experience. The questions asked were appropriate to my level of experience and I got a response back within a few days.

A short introduction and background on the company was presented by the Technical Director. After that I was told to briefly discuss my experiences and projects undertaken at university and also to explain a structural related project from one of my degree modules. The company's current and past projects are shown and a few engineering tests are given to you, these questions are basic and only require sound fundamentals (e.g. lateral stability, steel/composite beam and bending moment).
