I found the process to be incredibly long from application to hire. It was 5 weeks between application and phone interview; another 5 weeks between phone interview and in-person interview, and more than 4 weeks before I was offered the position. It would be another 6 weeks before I was able to start my position, due to background checks and paperwork. This was the third time that I had applied to and been interviewed for a position within the department; I was expected a third rejection.
